September 2009 Net Worth – $111,310.41

September 2009 Net Worth

We can’t complain about how well things have been going for us. Five out of the last 6 months have provided us a gain of more than $5,500. As you can see, we hit the 100k mark last month, and in the following month we managed to cross the 110k mark. It’s a nice change of pace after taking more than a year to get from 80k to 90k. A lot of the big gains are due to the recovering economy, but at least we feel like we’re on the right track, and we’re going to enjoy the progress while we can.

Sep. ‘09 – $110k (1 month)
Aug. ‘09 – $100k (3 months)
May. ‘09 – $90k (13 months)
Apr. ‘08 – $80k (5 months)
Nov. ‘07 – $70k (4 months)
Jul. ‘07 – $60k (4 months)
Mar. ‘07 – $50k (5 months)
Oct. ‘06 – $40k (8 months)
Feb. ‘06 – $30k (11 months)
Mar. ‘05 – $20k

Nice progress Clint……..it will be interesting to see how the next 6 months go….

When things go well..its fun….5 years ago we had a negative net worth of -50K…….thanks to getting on top of a lifestyle change…….we turned things around and are approaching 500K net worth (my goal for the end of this year…..)

Company stock purchases within my 401K at opportune times helped a lot..but we typically save 25-30k a year thru 401k and reg savings…..

I was in fixed income from june 08 thru Feb of 09…that save dour bacon…..our income is approaching 150K for the last couple of years…so that helped…lol

Don’t you feel a little exposed in posting your finances? Not being critical…..just curious…..

      Joe,
That’s great progress over 5 years. Very impressive. I’ve kept myself pretty anonymous, so I’m not too concerned about posting my finances. Any risks that may be involved are currently out weighed by the benefits.

    Got something to say?
